The engine tuning does not only include special units for the electronic engine management of the A 45 S: the conversion also includes an additional BRABUS PowerXtra CPC control unit, a BRABUS BoostXtra adapter that gives the engine a sporty noise similar to a racing car and a special air duct for the air filter housing.
After conversion, the turbocharged four-valve engine produces 21 kW / 29 hp. more peak power and 50 Nm more torque. The top model of the smallest Mercedes-Benz series with a power of 331 kW / 450 hp. and the torque of 550 Nm acquires even greater temperament: the tuned A 45 S accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.7 seconds. The maximum speed is still electronically limited to 270 km/h.
While the body remains unchanged, BRABUS gives the compact car a custom look with custom-designed Monoblock Z 8.5Jx20 wheels on the front and rear axles. Its design with ten filigree lacquered black spokes with polished surfaces is an excellent combination of excellent strength and lightness. The tire size 255/40 ZR 20, created by BRABUS technology partner Continental, was chosen as the ideal tire.
